REMIC V5200 LB/WLM Violin/Viola – Live Mic. for Wired and Wireless Systems

V5200 LB/WLM for Violin/Viola – Loud Live Productions

The REMIC V5200 LB/WLM supplyed with a TA5M connector allows you to connect the REMIC microphone via a variety of adapters to selected SHURE and SENNHEISER wireless transmitters which enables you to gain maximum flexibility to move around on stage in extremely loud live productions.

It also enabels you to connect the V5200 LB/WLM to a standard XLR wired connection.

Due to the fact that most beltpack wireless transmitters do not provide 48 volt of phantom power nor a balanced input stage, a series of REMIC MICROPHONES have been designed to support wireless systems with unbalanced input circuits and a BIAS voltage of 3 to 8 volt.

The V5200 LB/WLM is based on the same principle as the V5200 LB live model, but is supplied with a different connector – the TA5M multi connector, which allows you to connect your V5200LB/WLM microphone to a variety of adapters for Shure and Sennheiser wireless systems as well as the standard XLR.

In order to connect to the wireless transmitters, you need to purchase the correct adaptor that lets you connect to one of the following wireless transmitter systems:

Please note that some dynamic non-linearities will occur when using wireless systems in comparison to a wired solution.

MORE ABOUT THE “LB/WLM” MODEL:

The LB/WLM microphone model is based on the same principle as the normal LB model only with a different connector and designed to support wireless transmitters with unbalanced input circuits and a BIAS voltage of 3 to 8 volt (instead of 48 volt). It delivers a natural, but more “dry” and “woodish” sound response in comparison to the “Studio/Live” model.

The “LB/WLM” model represents the highest suppression of ambient sound sources ever achieved by a condenser microphone. So if you need a microphone with low acoustic feedback response, the V5200 LB/WLM is the answer.

At the same time the microphone will maintain the aesthetic appearance of the instrument towards your audience, since there are no clamps and clips in order to mount and hold the microphone, you also retain a full and undisturbed view of the fretboard.

The V5200 LB/WLM are also suitable for other violin related instruments such as Hardanger fiddle / Hardingfele, Nyckelharpa, Drejelire, Hurdy-Gurdy etc.

This model is designed for “extremely loud” live performances, such as folk-rock, pop, rock and metal.
Astonishing high gain before feedback.
Extreme suppression of neighbor instruments and ambient noise.

Please note that the sound response of the “LB/WLM” models are more “dry” and “woodish” in comparison to the “Studio/Live” models, due to their high ambient suppression factor, but can easily be EQed for best results.

With Built-In Windshield

All microphones for strings have a built-in windshield, which is designed to drastically reduce wind noise in open air performances. The windshield is placed inside the microphone and is therefore invisible and non-removable. With the built-in windshield, you do not need to add any other windshields to your microphone. The built-in windshield does not change the quality of the microphone or sound quality in general.
