REMIC V5200 WLM Violin/Viola – Studio/Live Mic. for Wired and Wireless Systems

V5200/WLM for Violin/Viola – Studio/Live

The REMIC V5200/WLM supplied with a TA5M connector allows you to connect the REMIC microphone via a variety of adapters to selected SHURE and SENNHEISER wireless transmitters which enables you to gain maximum flexibility to move around on stage during live productions.

It also enabels you to connect the V5200/WLM to a standard XLR wired connection.

Due to the fact that most beltpack wireless transmitters do not provide 48 volt of phantom power nor a balanced input stage, a series of REMIC MICROPHONES have been designed to support wireless systems with unbalanced input circuits and a BIAS voltage of 3 to 8 volt.

The V5200/WLM is based on the same principle as the V5200 studio/live model, but is supplied with a different connector – the TA5M multi connector, which allows you to connect your V5200/WLM microphone to a variety of adapters for Shure and Sennheiser wireless systems as well as the standard XLR.

In order to connect to the wireless transmitters, you need to purchase the correct adaptor that lets you connect to one of the following wireless transmitter systems:

Please note that some dynamic non-linearities will occur when using wireless systems in comparison to a wired solution.

MORE ABOUT THE V5200/WLM MODEL:

The REMIC V5200/WLM microphone model is based on the same principle as the standard REMIC V5200 model, apart from the fact that it comes with a TA5M connector and has been designed to support wireless systems with unbalanced input circuits and a BIAS voltage of 3 to 8 volt. It delivers a natural and open sound, an extreme accuracy and fast transient response that captures the finest and most delicate overtones of the instrument.

  • For studio and live performance of chamber, classical, jazz and folk music.
  • Superior gain before feedback.
  • Moderate suppression of neighbor instruments and ambient noise.
  • For moderate amplification of symphony orchestras, ensambles, bands and solists.

The microphone will maintain the aesthetic appearance of the instrument towards your audience, since there are no clamps and clips in order to mount and hold the microphone, you also retain a full and undisturbed view of the fretboard.

The V5200/WLM is also suitable for other violin related instruments such as hardanger fiddle / hardingfele, nyckelharpa, drejelire, hurdy-gurdy etc.

With Built-In Windshield

All microphones for strings have a built-in windshield, which is designed to drastically reduce wind noise in open air performances. The windshield is placed inside the microphone and is therefore invisible and non-removable. With the built-in windshield, you do not need to add any other windshields to your microphone. The built-in windshield does not change the quality of the microphone or sound quality in general.
