B5201 WL Studio/Live Microphone for Bratsch/Viola
Due to the fact that most wireless beltpack transmitters do not provide 48 volt of phantom power nor a balanced input stage, a series of REMIC MICROPHONES
have been designed to support selected wireless systems with unbalanced input circuits and a BIAS voltage of 3 to 8 volt.
The B5201 /WL is based on the same principle as the B5201, and can be ordered with different connectors for selected wireless transmitters to obtain the highest sound quality as well as high flexibility in order to move around on the stage in live productions.
The REMIC wireless solutions are developed to fit selected wireless systems from Shure and Sennheiser. In order to choose the correct connector, you need to select the connector needed for a particular wireless transmitter, please see supported wireless solutions below:

Please note that some dynamic non-linearities will occur when using wireless systems in comparison to a wired solution.

The B5201 WL wireless microphone model is based on the same principle as the normal B5201 model, but with a different connector.
The B5201 WL is designed for studio and live productions and delivers a natural and open sound, an extreme accuracy and fast transient response that captures the finest and most delicate overtones of the instrument.
The B5201 WL series fits on all modern bratsch/viola, while the V5200-series for violin/viola fits well on all baroque style viola(Bratsch)instruments.

Since there is no clamps and clips in order to mount and hold the microphone, you retain a full and undisturbed view of the fretboard.
With Built-In Windshield
All microphones for strings have a built-in windshield, which is designed to drastically reduce wind noise in open air performances. The windshield is placed inside the microphone and is therefore invisible and non-removable. With the built-in windshield, you do not need to add any other windshields to your microphone. The built-in windshield does not change the quality of the microphone or sound quality in general.
